WHEREAS the IWW has a long history of international solidarity with oppressed peoples, and in 2010 passed a resolution supporting the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement,

WHEREAS the State of Israel’s aggression against the people of Palestine is genocidal in its intentions and has directly caused, and will continue to cause, the murder of thousands of working class civilians, the displacement of millions, and the destruction of hospitals, churches, mosques, and vital infrastructure,

WHEREAS Palestinian trade unions have called for a material and moral solidarity campaign from workers and citizens around the world against the ongoing occupation and genocide of Palestinians by the Israeli government and its allies,

WHEREAS students and working people who publicly stand with Palestinian civilians are threatened with loss of employment, loss of access to education, and doxing,

WHEREAS war is always waged by the ruling class at the expense of the working class,

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that members of Mid-Valley General Membership Branch of the IWW endorse and encourage support of campaigns and actions that call for a ceasefire and call attention to the ongoing suffering in Gaza and the West Bank.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Mid-Valley IWW organizes with other branches of the IWW and its allies in the labor movement in support of a ceasefire and the protection of the rights of Palestinians.

In so resolving, we affirm our commitment to anti-racism, including against antisemitism, islamophobia, and anti-Arab racism. An injury to one is an injury to all!
